Job summary

University of Arizona in Phoenix seeks a Chief for the Division of Arthroplasty within the Department of Orthopaedics (College of Medicine - Phoenix). This leader will direct strategic planning, operations, research, and clinical programs, with authority over division budgeting, research funding, and faculty recruitment.

The role reports to the Department Chair and collaborates with Banner Health leadership for clinical activities.

Qualifications

MD or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
Board certified in speciality.
Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Arizona.
Eligible for medical staff membership at Banner - University Medical Center Phoenix.
Be eligible for an associate professor or higher academic appointment.
Career-Track (CT) appointment not eligible for tenure.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Division of Arthroplasty.
Oversee planning, policy, operations, and oversight of academic, research and clinical programs.
Recruit and retain Division faculty; manage division budget and financial matters.
Maintain a clinical practice in adult reconstruction and joint replacement.
Foster education, scholarship and curriculum development within Orthopaedics.
