Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking a Medication Technician to supervise and assist in the administration of medications to residents, following nursing standards and company policies. The role also involves direct personal care and encouraging resident participation in activities on a shift from 6am–2:30pm or 10pm–6am, Sunday through Thursday, including holidays.

The position reports within a senior living community team in California, with benefits such as medical, dental, vision, paid time

Qualifications

• One year of experience assisting with medication in RCFE preferred.
• State-required training/certification may be required.
• Must pass background checks and health screenings.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to interact with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with residents, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
