Job summary

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Must be a licensed Medication Aide having completed a state training program and any required examinations.

Responsibilities

• Follow facility policies for administering medications to residents.
• Note and report errors in medication administration.
• Assist in developing procedures to prevent medication errors.
• Complete forms, charts, and reports as required.
• Maintain professional relationships with Health Services staff and pharmacists.
• Report resident complaints to Health Services Director.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and medication-related committees.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications safely.
• Verify resident identity before administering medications.
