Job summary

Belmont Village Senior Living is seeking a Part-Time Medication Technician to support our Assisted Living and Memory Care communities in Los Angeles and surrounding neighborhoods. The role involves assisting residents with medications, monitoring responses, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records under a licensed nurse’s supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a Caregiver in a licensed community or facility.
• C.N.A. License in states where required.
• Current Medication Technician or Aide Certification in states where required.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English.
• Intermediate computer and mobile device skills.
• Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community.

Responsibilities

• Medication Assistance and Personal Care: Follow physician’s orders and community guidelines for assisting with routine medications and providing assistance with ADL care as needed.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate medical records and report any reactions or medication refusals to the licensed nurse.
• Vital Sign Monitoring: Take resident vital signs and observe any responses or side effects.
• Shift Communication: Attend shift meetings and update nursing staff on resident conditions.
• Customer Satisfaction: Work collaboratively with a team to ensure the highest quality care and services are provided resulting in overall customer satisfaction
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all resident rights, state, and federal regulations, including infection control, fire safety, and hazardous materials guidelines.
