Job summary

Belmont Village Albany is seeking a Medication Technician for on-call/per diem coverage to support residents in assisted living and memory care. You will assist with medications, monitor responses, and maintain EMR records under nurse supervision.

You’ll collaborate with licensed nurses, perform vital checks, and contribute to a warm, compliant environment where compassionate care helps seniors thrive.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months experience as a Caregiver in a licensed community or facility.
• C.N.A. License in states where required.
• Current Medication Technician or Aide Certification in states where required.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English.
• Intermediate computer and mobile device skills.
• Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees.

Responsibilities

• Administer Medications and Provide Personal Care: Follow physician’s orders and community guidelines for administering routine medications and providing assistance with ADL care as needed.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate medical records and report any reactions or medication refusals to the licensed nurse.
• Vital Sign Monitoring: Take resident vital signs and observe any responses or side effects.
• Shift Communication: Attend shift meetings and update nursing staff on resident conditions.
• Customer Satisfaction: Work collaboratively with a team to ensure high quality care and services.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all resident rights, state, and federal regulations, including infection control and fire safety.
