Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed Medication Aide per state requirements.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administering medications to residents as ordered by attending physician and under supervision.
• Accurately prepare, administer, and document oral/topical medications and ensure proper labeling.
• Verify resident identity before medication administration and document vital signs as required.
• Note and report medication administration errors and participate in QA programs.
• Maintain documentation, forms, charts, and reports per facility policies.
• Follow policies for medication handling, disposal, and drug receipt errors, with reporting as needed.
• Participate in facility surveys and interdisciplinary team communications.
