Park Vista Care Community in Youngstown, OH is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to administer prescribed medications under supervision, ensuring safety, accuracy and timely delivery for residents.

You will document administration in the EHR, monitor for adverse reactions, maintain medication storage, and support nursing staff with daily resident care while upholding state regulations and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification: Certification as a Medication Technician or equivalent required.
• Experience: 1 year in healthcare or caregiving preferred; medication administration a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications to residents following physician orders and facility policies.
• Ensure medications are dispensed on time and accurately dosed.
• Document medication administration in the EHR and report concerns to supervising staff.
• Monitor residents for adverse reactions and maintain safe storage of medications.
• Assist with ADLs and collaborate with nursing staff to coordinate resident care.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and participate in audits.
