Bickford Senior Living in Battle Creek, MI is hiring a Medication Technician to support residents with their daily medications in a compassionate way, preserving dignity and quality of life.

Starting pay is $16.50/hour with day and evening shifts. This full-time role offers a comprehensive benefits package, eligibility details based on employment status, and daily pay options. The candidate will follow MARs and the six rights of medication administration while embracing the mission of care.

Qualifications

• Active Medication Technician Certification or 1+ year of senior care experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Willing to take additional training as required by state.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and communicate effectively.
• Written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills; able to learn eMAR system.

Responsibilities

• Accurately following the resident MAR to administer medications per Physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of medication administration and company policies.
• Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for clarification and direction.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed team members as appropriate.
• Demonstrate the Bickford Mission ‘Whatever it Takes’ on shift.
