Job summary

Savant Senior Living in Santa Monica seeks a Medication Technician to join our care team. You will provide direct resident care and medication assistance, following physicians' orders and state regulations.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, First Aid, CPR/CNA certifications as applicable, and fluency in English. You should be able to lift up to 25 pounds and work AM or PM shifts with a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility.
• Must possess First Aid Certifications and, according to state regulations, may require CPR and CNA certifications and pass an exam/skills evaluation.
• Must meet continuing education requirements and maintain licenses.
• Speak, read, and understand English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and medication assistance to residents in line with community expectations.
• Follow outlined procedure, physicians' orders, and state laws when assisting with medications.
• Adhere to medication policy and procedures.
• Support residents with daily living activities as needed while ensuring safety.
• Maintain documentation and participate in routine training.

What you will do:

• Responsible for providing direct care and medication assistance to the residents in a manner that meets or exceeds Community expectations
• Follow outlined procedure, physicians' orders, and state laws when assisting or supervising residents with medications. Exhibit an understanding of and be willing to follow medication policy and procedures.
• This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility.
• Must possess valid First Aid Certifications and, according to state regulations may need to possess current CPR, Certified Nursing Assistant Certification state certifications, and pass an examination and/or skills evaluation. Also, must meet requirements for continuing education and maintain all license(s).
• Speak read and understand English fluently.

Must haves:

Pay rate $22.00 -$24.50 per hour DOE
