Job summary

Saber Health Group is seeking a compassionate Medication Aide to administer medications to residents in an assisted living setting under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will follow nursing standards, policies, and state requirements to support resident well-being.

Ideal candidates have a current QMA credential, a high school diploma or equivalent, and basic computer skills to navigate EHR software. Training and growth opportunities are available within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Be listed in good standing on the registry as a medication aide in the state where you work.
• Passed the QMA competency evaluation program if required by your state.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; GED guidance available.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Follow established nursing standards, community policies, procedures and state requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with facility protocols.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending Physician, under the direction of a licensed nurse within the scope of practice for Medication Aides. The administration of medication shall be in accordance with established nursing standards, the community policies, procedures, and practices, and the requirements of the state in which you operate.

Education/Qualifications:

• Be listed in good standing on the registry as a medication aide in the state in which you work.

• Passed the QMA competency evaluation program consisting of a written test, if your state requires.

• Must be currently enrolled in a high school program or have a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • We can provide guidance and resources to help you earn your GED.

• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.
