Job summary

Sagora Senior Living is seeking a devoted Med Tech for Ellery Arbor Memory Care in Colleyville, TX. This role involves administering medications, supporting residents with daily activities, and ensuring safety and dignity. Training and delegation provided; CMA is optional.

Position options include full-time, part-time, or PRN with shifts 2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am. Starting pay is $18.89/hour, with comprehensive benefits and a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Six months of work experience passing meds in a retirement community setting preferred.
• CMA certification is a plus but not required.
• Must read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Administer and accurately record medication administration as prescribed.
• Obtain and report residents’ vital signs.
• Manage medication supplies and inventory.
• Care for residents’ personal needs and safety; assist with daily activities.
• Assist with dining, transportation, and light housekeeping as needed.
• Observe changes in residents’ condition and report promptly.

What does a Med Tech at Sagora do?

• Administer and accurately record administration of medications as prescribed by a resident's physician(s) in accordance with company policy and applicable state and federal guidelines under supervision of a nurse
• Obtain, record, and report resident vital signs
• Manage supply of medications
• Provide accounting for all medications ordered, received, stored, and administered
• Care for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of our residents
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including wardrobe, personal hygiene, and mobility
• Aid in daily tasks such as housekeeping, use of telephone, laundry, transportation, and mail delivery
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition and status
• Conduct rounds to monitor for hazards or incidents
• Assist in dining including escorting residents to dining room, serving, and clean up

What do you need to be a Med Tech?

• Six months of work experience passing meds in a retirement community setting is preferred
• CMA certification is a plus, but not required
• Candidate must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents, families, guests, and other associates in English
• The ideal candidate will be caring, organized, and able to multi-task
