Job summary

Sagora Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Med Tech to join our Bailey Pointe Assisted Living community in Omaha, NE. The role focuses on administering medications, assisting residents with daily living, and ensuring dignity and independence under nursing supervision.

Ideal candidates have six months of med-pass experience, English communication skills, and a caring, organized, multitasking mindset. CMA certification is a plus but not required; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Administer and record medications as prescribed, per policy and nursing supervision.
• Record vital signs and monitor resident health status.
• Read, write and communicate effectively in English with residents and staff.
• Stay organized and able to multi-task in a busy care setting.

Responsibilities

• Administer and accurately record medication administration.
• Obtain, record, and report resident vital signs.
• Manage supply of medications and ensure proper storage.
• Provide care for residents’ personal needs and safety.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Support dining services and assist with meals.
• Observe changes and report health status to supervising nurse.
• Conduct rounds to monitor for hazards and incidents.

What does a Med Tech at Sagora do?

• Administer and accurately record administration of medications as prescribed by a resident's physician(s) in accordance with company policy and applicable state and federal guidelines under supervision of a nurse
• Obtain, record, and report resident vital signs
• Manage supply of medications
• Provide accounting for all medications ordered, received, stored, and administered
• Care for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of our residents
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including wardrobe, personal hygiene, and mobility
• Aid in daily tasks such as housekeeping, use of telephone, laundry, transportation, and mail delivery
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition and status
• Conduct rounds to monitor for hazards or incidents
• Assist in dining including escorting residents to dining room, serving, and clean up

What do you need to be a Med Tech?

• Six months of work experience passing meds in a retirement community setting is preferred
• CMA certification is a plus, but not required
• Candidate must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents, families, guests, and other associates in English
• The ideal candidate will be caring, organized, and able to multi-task
