Job summary

Sagora Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Med Tech for Lynridge of Arlington. The role includes administering medications, recording administrations, and assisting residents with daily living activities to maintain dignity and independence.

Six months' med-pass experience preferred; CMA is a plus but not required. Shifts are 3p–11p and 11p–7a in a part-time, PRN capacity at a retirement community in Arlington, Texas.

Qualifications

• Six months of work experience passing meds in a retirement community setting preferred.
• CMA certification is a plus, but not required.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents, families, guests, and associates in English.
• Ideal candidate is caring, organized, and able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Administer and accurately record medication administration as prescribed by a physician under nurse supervision.
• Obtain and report resident vital signs.

What does a Med Tech at Sagora do?

• Administer and accurately record administration of medications as prescribed by a resident’s physician(s) in accordance with company policy and applicable state and federal guidelines under supervision of a nurse
• Obtain, record, and report resident vital signs
• Manage supply of medications
• Provide accounting for all medications ordered, received, stored, and administered
• Care for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of residents
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including wardrobe, personal hygiene, and mobility
• Aid in daily tasks such as housekeeping, use of telephone, laundry, transportation, and mail delivery
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition and status
• Conduct rounds to monitor for hazards or incidents
• Assist in dining including escorting residents to dining room, serving, and cleanup

What do you need to be a Med Tech?

• Six months of work experience passing meds in a retirement community setting is preferred
