Job summary

Sagora Senior Living is hiring a Med Tech at Lynridge of Murphy to support residents in independent living, assisted living, and memory care. You will administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assist with daily activities under nurse supervision.

The ideal candidate has six months’ med-pass experience in a retirement setting; CMA certification is a plus but not required. English communication and compassion are essential in our team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Six months of work experience passing meds in a retirement community preferred.
• CMA certification is a plus, but not required.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Caring, organized, and able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Administer and accurately record medication administration as prescribed under supervision.
• Obtain, record, and report resident vital signs.
• Manage medication supply and accountability.
• Provide personal care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Assist in dining, transportation, and daily tasks.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition.

What does a Med Tech at Sagora do?

• Administer and accurately record administration of medications as prescribed by a resident's physician(s) in accordance with company policy and applicable state and federal guidelines under supervision of a nurse
• Obtain, record, and report resident vital signs
• Manage supply of medications
• Provide accounting for all medications ordered, received, stored, and administered
• Care for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of our residents
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including wardrobe, personal hygiene, and mobility
• Aid in daily tasks such as housekeeping, use of telephone, laundry, transportation, and mail delivery
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition and status
• Conduct rounds to monitor for hazards or incidents
• Assist in dining including escorting residents to dining room, serving, and clean up

What do you need to be a Med Tech?

• Six months of work experience passing meds in a retirement community setting is preferred
• CMA certification is a plus, but not required
• Candidate must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents, families, guests, and other associates in English
• The ideal candidate will be caring, organized, and able to multi-task
