Job summary

Mount Pleasant Home, a HumanGood community in Jamaica Plain, MA, is seeking Personal Care Attendants / Med Techs for overnight shifts (Friday–Sunday) with weekday options. You will contribute to resident comfort and safety in a cozy, family‑oriented setting.

Responsibilities include administering meds, coordinating with doctors and families, preparing shift reports, and upholding residents' rights. English proficiency is required; CNA experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current Med Tech certification is a plus.
• Current CPR certification is a plus.
• Prior CNA or caregiving experience: senior care, skilled nurse, post-acute or sub-acute care.
• English proficiency required (written and oral).

Description

Mount Pleasant Home is a rest home (residential care home) providing care to residents ages 62+. We are a cozy, family-oriented community servicing around 60 residents.

Our Personal Care Attendants /Med Techs actively incorporate our "Philosophy for person-directed Care." You would develop an awareness of residents’ interests and needs and assist residents to maximize their independence and participation by providing exemplary care to residents ranging from basic needs to activities of daily living. You would help create a safe environment in which to provide resident care.

Overnight shift - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with options to work during the week days.

A day in the life may look like:

• Provides resident care, including administering medications and documenting each treatment
• Maintain communication with doctors, laboratory, pharmacy, and residents' families concerning resident care
• Prepares shift reports
• Promotes and protects the rights of each resident

To be successful in the role, you would have:

• Current Med Tech certification is a plus
• Current CPR certification is a plus
• Prior CNA or caregiving experience: senior care, skilled nurse, post-acute or sub-acute care
• A desire to have a positive impact in the lives of older adults
• English proficiency required (written and oral)
