Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Michigan is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide/Med Tech to administer medications and treatments per physician orders, keeping residents safe and comfortable with dignity. You will follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration, document in MAR/TAR in real time, observe residents, and report any concerns promptly while maintaining infection control and regulatory compliance.

This role requires a High School Diploma, medication administration certification, CPR/First

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be age 18+.
• Medication Administration certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Strong documentation and communication skills preferred.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
