North Suffolk Community Services is seeking a Medication Specialist in Boston, MA to ensure health, safety and quality of life for individuals in residential care. The role involves advocacy, coordinating care, and maintaining medication documentation, with supervision from the Nurse Manager.

This is a full-time position, 36 hours per week, with multiple schedules available and a strong benefits package. The candidate should have a HS diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid certification, and relevant

Qualifications

• Education: High school degree or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience: One year experience in medication observation or dispensing preferred.
• Skills: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; capable of intervening during crisis.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and/or participate with individuals in medication, observation, documentation, refilling medications.
• Audit the medication binder weekly and report errors.
• Assist individuals with medication documentation and medical appointments.
• Document and maintain all records including med sheets for new medications.
• Work with Nurse Manager/Case Manager.
• Print medication lists to send with clients.
• Maintain medication room, supplies and sharps removals.
• Attend trainings and receive weekly clinical supervision from the Nurse Manager.
