Job summary

Concord Hospital Health System in Concord, NH, is seeking an administrative Pharmacy Technician/Medical Assistant to support the CHMG Patient Refill Center. You will manage medication renewal requests and prior authorizations under CHMG policy, review patient charts, and document actions in EMR systems.

This role does not involve direct patient contact, but may also assist with chart pre-loading and other clerical duties.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board CPhT Exam or accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Alternately, completion of a Licensed Nursing Assistant program may apply.

Responsibilities

• Receive medication renewal requests via eRx, phone, voice mail, fax, etc., and authorize refills per policy.
• Initiates and completes medication prior authorizations (CoverMyMeds experience a plus).
• Follow telephone screening guidelines and route calls as needed.
• Make outgoing calls regarding renewals and prior authorizations.
• Schedule patient appointments and submit future orders per guidelines.
• Use EMR, e-mail, fax queues, registries, portals per established protocols.
