Job summary

River Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dependable Medication Nurse (LPN or RN) to join our skilled nursing team. You will provide safe, timely medication administration and treatments, ensuring high-quality resident care.

Expect 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week with every-other-weekend rotation. The role requires Kentucky LPN or RN licensure and prior nursing experience in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Current and valid LPN or RN license in Kentucky.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
• Strong medication administration and clinical skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Dependable, compassionate, and committed to quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents safely and accurately according to physician orders and facility policies.
• Perform treatments and procedures as ordered and within the nurse's scope of practice.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition, medication effectiveness, and potential adverse reactions.
• Communicate resident changes and concerns to the healthcare team.
• Accurately document medication administration, treatments, and resident care.
• Follow infection control, medication management, and safety procedures.
• Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date resident records.
• Provide compassionate, respectful, and person-centered care to skilled nursing residents.
• Work collaboratively with CNAs, nurses, physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Follow all applicable state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
