Job summary

River Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dependable Medication Nurse (LPN or RN) to join our nursing team. The role focuses on safe, timely medication administration and treatments for skilled nursing residents.

The position offers 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week with every-other weekend rotation, Day and Second shifts available. Kentucky LPN or RN license required, and prior long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid LPN or RN license in Kentucky.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.
• Strong medication administration and clinical skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Dependable, compassionate, and committed to resident care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications safely according to orders and policies.
• Perform treatments within nursing scope.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and adverse reactions.
• Communicate resident changes to the healthcare team.
• Document medication administration and care accurately.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date resident records.
• Provide compassionate, person-centered care.
• Collaborate with CNAs, nurses, physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Adhere to state/federal regulations and facility policies.
