Job summary

Advocate Health in North Carolina is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for Transitions of Care in the Enterprise Pharmacy department. This full-time, 40-hour role supports the care team, processes medications, and ensures documentation accuracy.

The 2nd shift runs 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM with every other weekend. A high school diploma or GED is required; an Associate's Degree in Pharmacy Technology is preferred for NC technicians, and CPhT or ExCPT certification is required or expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; NC associates degree preferred for technicians with responsibilities
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or ExCPT per state requirements
• Typically 3 years of health care/pharmacy or related experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Completes area-specific work following standard processes and policies
• Serves as an expert with equipment and technology in the specialized area
• Ensures documents and records are accurate and completed timely
• Supports communication with patients and care team
• Identifies quality improvements to ensure safe and efficient patient care
• Maintains knowledge and contributes to education of others
