Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Edison, New Jersey, is seeking a Medication Aide/Med Tech to ensure safe, accurate medication care for residents. You will administer medications per orders, document in MAR/TAR in real time, and monitor residents during and after passes.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, Medication Administration certification, CPR/First Aid, and strong documentation and communication skills; senior care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time
• Observe residents during and after medication passes
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief
• Report refusals or concerns promptly
• Complete narcotic counts per policy
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms
• Follow infection control and safety standards
