Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Completion of the Medication Administration Course with passing grade; Completion of all state-required medication training.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience passing medications; elderly care experience preferred.
• Mathematical: Ability to make simple mathematical calculations.
• Oral/Written Communication: Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy and physician.
• Track all orders for medication changes and/or refills.
• Maintain accurate, complete resident medication records per policy and state law.
• Prepare medication for distribution per policy.
• Assist with documentation and reporting of resident status and changes.
