Job summary

MANTECA in is seeking a dedicated Medication Tech for Assisted Living to administer medications, document precise administration, and uphold policies. You will collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and pharmacists to ensure resident safety and regulatory compliance.

You will verify resident identity, maintain accurate records, and participate in QA programs, ensuring medication passes are safe and effective. This role requires a licensed Medication Aide and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Medication Aide.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business materials and regulations.
• Ability to write reports and communicate effectively with staff and residents.

Responsibilities

• Safely prepare, administer, and document oral and topical medications as ordered.
• Verify resident identity before administering medications and document administration.
• Follow policies for labeling, medication storage, and charting; report and document medication errors.
• Participate in quality assurance, nursing, and pharmacist workflows to improve accuracy of medication passes.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information and report any PHI breaches.
