Job summary

Sierra Basin MC is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to administer and document medications for residents in our facility. You will follow established policies, report any medication errors, and participate in programs aimed at preventing errors.

The role requires maintaining accurate documentation, collaborating with health services staff and physicians, and supporting QA initiatives to improve medication safety and resident well‑being.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, interpret and follow policies and procedures.
• Ability to document medication administration and reporting of errors.
• Familiar with medication error prevention and QA processes.

Responsibilities

• Follow facility policies and procedures for administering medications to residents.
• Note and report errors in medication administration.
• Assist in developing procedures to determine when/where/why errors occur and how to prevent them.
• Complete required forms, charts, and reports.
• Maintain professional relationships with Health Services staff and pharmacists.
• Report complaints or grievances to Health Services Director.
• Participate in surveys and QA programs related to medication pass.
