Job summary

PACS is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to assist in administering prescribed medications under physician orders and nursing supervision. You will follow facility policies, document administration, and report errors to ensure resident safety.

The role requires a state-approved training, high school diploma or equivalent, and ability to work as part of a care team in a resident-centered environment. Clinical accuracy is essential.

Qualifications

  • Must be a licensed Medication Aide with state-approved training.
  • High school education or equivalent is required.
  • State-approved Medication Aide training and any necessary examination(s) per state law.

Responsibilities

  • Follow facility policies for administering medications.
  • Note and report errors in medication administration.
  • Assist in developing procedures to reduce medication errors and improve safety.
  • Complete forms, charts, reports and other required administrative tasks.
  • Maintain professional relationships with nursing staff, physicians, and pharmacists.
  • Report resident complaints to the Director of Nursing Services.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance programs and medication-related committees.
  • Accurately prepare, administer and document medications as prescribed.
