Job summary

Wolfeboro Bay Center is hiring a Medication Nurse Assistant to support safe medication administration and quality resident care alongside our licensed nursing team. You will administer medications, observe residents for changes, document accurately, and communicate concerns promptly.

Required: high school diploma or equivalent, nursing-assistant and Medication Aide certifications, CPR, plus at least 1 year healthcare experience or 2 years medication-aide experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current nursing-assistant certification.
• Current Medication Aide certification.
• CPR certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Understanding of medical and pharmacological terminology.
• Minimum one year of healthcare experience or two years of medication-aide experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer permitted medications in accordance with physician orders, applicable requirements, and facility procedures.
• Observe residents for changes in condition or adverse reactions.
• Accurately document medication administration.
• Follow written and verbal medication-management instructions.
• Obtain vital signs and complete permitted medication-related tasks.
• Maintain safe and secure medication storage.
• Stock medication carts and appropriately handle discontinued medications.
• Communicate resident concerns promptly to licensed nursing staff.
• Assist with resident-care duties as assigned and within your role.
