Job summary

PACS in the United States is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to assist with administration of resident medications under physician and nursing supervision. You will follow established policies, accurately document each dose, and report any discrepancies or adverse reactions promptly.

You will participate in Quality Assurance programs, maintain compliance with state laws, and collaborate with nurses, pharmacists, and the Medical Director to ensure safe, effective treatment for residents.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret physician orders and facility policies.
• Ability to follow instructions, maintain accuracy, and complete forms.
• Experience documenting medications and reporting errors.
• Ability to communicate with supervisors, physicians, and residents.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications to residents as directed by physicians.
• Verify resident identity before administering treatment.
• Document administration and any refusals or errors promptly.
• Assist in QA activities to improve medication safety.
• Follow labeling and disposal procedures for medications.
