Job summary

COOPERRIVERALF is seeking a Medication Aide to follow facility policies for administering medications to residents. The role includes documenting all doses, verifying resident identity, and reporting any errors or adverse reactions.

You will participate in quality assurance programs and ensure accurate labeling and charting in collaboration with the pharmacy and nursing staff. The position requires a high school education or equivalent and an active Medication Aide license as per state law.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document oral and topical medications as ordered.
  • Verify resident identity before administering medications and document any refusals.
  • Maintain proper labeling, charting, and documentation according to facility procedures.
  • Report medication errors promptly and participate in QA programs and committees.
  • Observe and report patient conditions and communicate with nursing staff and physicians.
