Job summary

PACS is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to assist with administering medications to residents under the supervision of nursing leadership and physicians. You will follow established policies, document procedures, and participate in quality assurance and safety programs to ensure accurate medication handling.

The role requires high school education or equivalent, a valid Medication Aide license, and the ability to read and interpret clinical instructions.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least a high school education or equivalent.
  • Must be a licensed Medication Aide with state-approved training and examination.
  • Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general guidance, reports and regulations.
  • Requires ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Follow facility policies for administering medications to residents.
  • Note and report medication administration errors.
  • Assist in developing procedures to reduce medication errors and improve safety.
  • Complete forms, charts, and reports as required by the facility.
  • Maintain professional relationships with nursing staff, physicians, and pharmacists.
  • Observe and document residents’ responses to medications and report issues.
