Job summary

PARKWOODMEADOWS is seeking a Med Tech for day/evening healthcare shifts. The role involves administering medications to residents, documenting delivery, and ensuring proper labeling and safety procedures.

You will collaborate with the nursing team and report any medication incidents while maintaining resident confidentiality. The position requires a state-approved Medication Aide license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to read and interpret procedures.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or its equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Medication Aide having successfully completed a state approved training program and any necessary examination(s) in accordance with state laws.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business procedures and regulations; strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer, document, and verify oral and topical medications per physician orders.
• Follow facility policies for medication labeling, storage, and disposal; report discrepancies.
• Document discontinued or transferred medications and report drug receipt errors with appropriate witnesses.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and participate in quality assurance activities.
