Job summary

SANANTONIO NORTH is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to assist in administering medications to residents under physician orders and nursing supervision. Follow facility policies and document administrations.

The role requires a high school education, state-approved training, and the ability to read, write, and interpret regulations. You will participate in QA programs and ensure accurate labeling and charting of medications.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school education or equivalent.
• Licensed Medication Aide with state-approved training and exam.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general instructions and regulations.
• Ability to write reports and maintain documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Follow policies and procedures for administering medications.
• Note and report errors in medication administration.
• Prepare, administer, and document oral/topical medications.
• Verify resident identity before administering medications.
• Maintain documentation and charting of medications.
• Participate in Quality Assurance programs.
• Cooperate with nursing staff and physicians.
• Attend continuing education to maintain licensure.
