Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Medication Aide having completed a state approved training program and examinations as required by state law.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business materials and regulations.
• Ability to write reports and professional documents.
• Ability to present information effectively to managers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administering medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician under supervision.
• Follow facility policies and procedures governing medication administration.
• Note and report errors in medication administration.
• Complete required forms, charts, and reports.
• Maintain professional relationships with nursing staff, physicians, and pharmacists.
• Prepare, administer, and document oral/topical medications as ordered.
• Verify resident identity before administering medications.
