Job summary

Overland Park Post Acute is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to administer medications to residents under physician orders and supervisor guidance. You will ensure accurate documentation, maintain medication labeling, and verify resident identity during administration.

The role requires high school completion and a state-approved Medication Aide license. Candidates should be able to collaborate with nurses and pharmacists while upholding safety and privacy policies.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school education or equivalent.
• Licensed Medication Aide with state-approved training and exam.
• Ability to read, interpret and follow procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and safely administer oral/topical medications as ordered.
• Document administration and report any errors to supervisors.
• Maintain proper labeling and charting of medications.
• Verify resident identity prior to medication administration.
• Participate in QA programs and facility surveys as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident health information.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and pharmacy to ensure safe medication use.
