Responsibilities

• Follow facility policies for administering medications to residents.
• Accurately prepare, administer, and document oral/topical meds as ordered.
• Note and report medication errors to supervisors or DON.
• Complete required forms, charts, and reports in a timely manner.
• Maintain professional relationships with nursing staff, physicians, and pharmacists.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and medication-related committees.
• Verify resident identity before administering medications.
• Ensure proper labeling and charting of all medications.
• Report resident complaints to the Director of Nursing Services.
• Assist in procedures to prevent medication errors and improve safety.
