Lutheran Social Services is seeking a Part-Time Medication Aide for 1st Shift at Hultquist Place in Jamestown, NY. This role supports residents with the self-administration of medications under New York State guidelines, and under licensed nursing supervision.

The position emphasizes safe, dignified, resident-centered care. Work hours are 6:00 AM–2:00 PM with a rotating holiday schedule; pay is $17.00–$18.50 per hour and part-time status means no benefits unless hours/eligibility change.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Successful completion of in-house medication assistance training program, including demonstrated competency, provided upon hire.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Preferred: 1-3 years of medication assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with self-administration of medications per service plans.
• Follow MAR/eMAR documentation and medication assistance procedures.
• Observe and report changes in condition, side effects, or refusals.
• Document assistance accurately and timely.
• Ensure proper medication storage and safety practices.
• Promote resident independence, dignity, and privacy.
• Collaborate with nurses, aides, and the care team.
• Participate in required training and quality initiatives.
