Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living seeks a Medication Aide/Med Tech to administer medications and treatments for residents in a safe, accurate, and compassionate manner. You will follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration, document in MAR/TAR in real time, and monitor residents during and after medication passes to ensure comfort and safety.

You will report refusals or concerns promptly, perform narcotic counts, and maintain clean carts and rooms while upholding infection control standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; age 18
• Medication Administration certification
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Senior care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time
• Observe residents during and after medication passes
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief
• Report refusals or concerns promptly
• Complete narcotic counts per policy
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms
• Follow infection control and safety standards
