Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Edison, NJ, seeks a Medication Aide/Med Tech to provide safe and accurate medication care for residents, following physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration.

You will document in MAR/TAR in real time, observe residents during passes, monitor symptoms, and collaborate with the care team to ensure comfort and safety. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medication Administration certification.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
