Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Medication Aide/Med Tech to deliver safe, accurate medication care for residents in a compassionate senior living environment.

You will administer medications per physician orders, document in MAR/TAR in real time, monitor residents, and maintain medication carts with strict infection control and safety practices. Health certifications are required and prior senior care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medication Administration certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Strong documentation and communication skills required.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes; monitor symptoms.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly and complete narcotic counts as policy dictates.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms; adhere to infection control standards.
