Job summary

Senior Solutions Management Group is seeking a Medication Aide to supervise resident self-administration of medications in Assisted Living facilities. You will follow federal and state regulations and SSMG guidelines, reporting health changes to the Wellness Director and maintaining accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include emergencies response, interdepartmental communication, staff education, safety program participation, confidentiality, and ongoing training attendance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Related experience and/or training or equivalent combination.
• Licensed CNA, HHA, or PCA with at least one certification and completed medication administration training approved by the Department of Health and Senior Services.

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administered medications in accordance with Federal & State regulations and SSMG guidelines.
• Report changes in residents' health and document to Wellness Director.
• Respond quickly to all emergencies.
• Maintain communication with all departments and staff.
• Provide educational meetings for residents and staff as requested by supervisor.
• Be familiar with Safety & Disaster Plan and maintain confidentiality.
• Attend required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• Contribute to a safe working environment and proper handling of equipment.
• Maintain professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and coworkers.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures of SSMG.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
