Job summary

Carriage House Inn in Shelbyville, TN seeks a Medication Aide on a rotating shift to supervise self-administered meds for Assisted Living residents. The role reports to the Wellness Director and requires adherence to federal/state regulations and SSMG guidelines.

Responsibilities include monitoring resident health changes, documenting outcomes, and responding to emergencies while maintaining confidentiality and collaborating with all departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.

• Promote a safe working environment and adherence to policies and procedures.

The Medication Aide is responsible for supervision of self-administered medication to Assisted Living

residents, following the guidelines provided by Senior Solutions Management Group. This

position reports to the Wellness Director.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for supervision of self-administered medication for the AssistedLiving Department in compliance with Federal & State regulations and SSMGguidelines as directed by the Wellness Director.


• Reports any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation to
  the Wellness Director.


• Responds quickly to all emergencies.


• Maintains close communication with all departments and staff members.


• Provides educational meetings for residents and staff as requested by
  Supervisor.


• Understands role in the Safety & Disaster Plan.


• Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.


• Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.


• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of
  accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working
  practices.


• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and
  co-workers.


• Adheres to all policies and procedures of SSMG.


• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:

• A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months


• related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
  experience.
