Job summary

Regal Estates of League City is seeking a Medication Aide to supervise self-administered medications for Assisted Living residents, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This role reports to the Wellness Director and supports safety and quality of care across departments.

The incumbent will maintain clear documentation, respond to health changes, and provide educational sessions for residents and staff while upholding confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Must possess at least one CNA/Home Health Aide/Personal Care Aide certification and complete medication administration training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administered medication for Assisted Living residents in compliance with federal/state regulations.
• Report changes in residents' health with documentation to the Wellness Director.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and maintain safety procedures.
• Maintain close communication with departments and staff.
• Provide educational meetings for residents and staff as requested.
• Adhere to Safety & Disaster Plan and preserve confidentiality.

Position Summary:
The Medication Aide is responsible for supervision of self-administered medication to Assisted Living
residents, following the guidelines provided by Senior Solutions Management Group. This
position reports to the Wellness Director.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for supervision of self-administered medication for the AssistedLiving Department in compliance with Federal & State regulations and SSMGguidelines as directed by the Wellness Director.
• Reports any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation to
  the Wellness Director.
• Responds quickly to all emergencies.
• Maintains close communication with all departments and staff members.
• Provides educational meetings for residents and staff as requested by
  Supervisor.
• Understands role in the Safety & Disaster Plan.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
• Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of
  accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working
  practices.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and
  co-workers.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of SSMG.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:

• A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months
• related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
  experience.
• Licensed CNA, Home Health Aid, Personal Care Aid must possess at least one
  certification and have successful completion of the medication administration
  training course approved by the Department of Health and Senior Services.
