Job summary

Senior Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Medication Aide to supervise self-administered medications for Assisted Living residents.

You will ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and SSMG guidelines, reporting any health changes to the Wellness Director and assisting in emergency responses. You will collaborate with multiple departments, provide resident education, and maintain confidentiality while supporting a safe, professional environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Licensed CNA/Home Health Aide/Personal Care Aide with at least one certification and completed medication administration training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administered medication for Assisted Living residents in line with federal/state regs and SSMG guidelines.
• Report changes in residents’ health and document for Wellness Director.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and maintain situational awareness.
• Maintain communication with all departments and staff.
• Provide educational meetings for residents and staff when requested.
• Participate in Safety & Disaster Plan awareness.
• Keep residents' information confidential and securely stored.
• Attend required trainings, in-services and staff meetings.
• Uphold safe working practices and a positive professional demeanor toward residents and staff.
• Follow all SSMG policies and procedures; perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

The Medication Aide is responsible for supervision of self-administered medication to Assisted Living residents, following the guidelines provided by Senior Solutions Management Group. This position reports to the Wellness Director.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for supervision of self-administered medication for the AssistedLiving Department in compliance with Federal & State regulations and SSMGguidelines as directed by the Wellness Director.
• Reports any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation to the Wellness Director.
• Responds quickly to all emergencies.
• Maintains close communication with all departments and staff members.
• Provides educational meetings for residents and staff as requested by Supervisor.
• Understands role in the Safety & Disaster Plan.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
• Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and co-workers.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of SSMG.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:

• A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licensed CNA, Home Health Aid, Personal Care Aid must possess at least one certification and have successful completion of the medication administration training course approved by the Department of Health and Senior Services.
