Job summary

Avantara Huron is seeking a Medication Aide to join our caring team. You will administer medications and support daily living activities, ensuring residents receive high-quality care with attention to safety and comfort.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a South Dakota CNA certificate, state-approved Medication Aide training, and CPR certification. Prior CNA/Med Aide experience is preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents and ensure timely dose delivery.

• Observe changes in residents' condition and report to nursing staff.
• Maintain a safe environment and document care provided.
• Provide ongoing education and support to residents and families.

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Huron by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of South Dakota C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of South Dakota approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
