Job summary

The Wellshire Park Place is seeking a Medication Aide to join our Assisted Living team. You will administer medications, assist with daily living activities, and monitor residents to ensure safety and comfort.

Our staff support ongoing education and provide a comprehensive benefits package. Eligible candidates typically hold a High School Diploma or equivalent, a South Dakota CNA certificate, and Medication Aide training with CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A valid South Dakota CNA certificate is required.
• Completion of State-approved Medication Aide training and CPR certification.
• One year of CNA and Medication Aide experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as prescribed.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents.
• Support ongoing education and adherence to care standards.

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at The Wellshire Park Place by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of South Dakota C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of South Dakota approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
