Job summary

Northern Children’s Services is seeking a Medication Administration Trainer to support the health and safety of children, youth, and families in a residential setting. The role emphasizes certified training and program compliance within a trauma-informed framework.

You will train staff in safe medication administration, monitor MARs, and ensure documentation meets agency and DHS/DOA standards. Join a mission-driven team committed to excellence, respect, resilience, and wellness.

Qualifications

• Trainer must be certified through the PA Train-the-Trainer within the past 2 years.
• Trainer must hold the Medication Administration Program certification. The program is recognized by DHS/DOA as the approved medication administration training program.

Responsibilities

• Writing detailed notes and communicating developments to essential staff.
• Advocate for the needs of the consumer to obtain needed resources and support.
• Clearly and effectively communicates all pertinent information to involved parties.
• Participate in regular supervision with the Program Director and staff meetings.
• Complete medical paperwork as required.
• Summaries in a timely manner.
• Maintains a Daily Medication Log and reports significant changes (MAR).
• Document all contact, typical and emergency, while maintaining confidentiality of resident records.
