San Diego Center for Children seeks a Medication Technician to aid in medication administration and clinical support for children in care. You will monitor medication effects, assist with dosing under physician approval, and maintain accurate records within a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes safety, trauma-informed care, and coordination with nurses and clinicians. A high school diploma or GED is required, with CPR/First Aid and SPA certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 1 year med administration experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; Medical Assistant cert encouraged.
• CPR/First Aid/SPA certifications are desirable for patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor medications as prescribed and approved by physician.
• Observe and document client reactions to medications and report to nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate medication records and inventories.
• Communicate with psychiatrists and treatment team to support care.
