PACS Group is seeking a Medication Administration Aide to assist in administering medications as ordered by the physician and under supervision. The role emphasizes adherence to nursing standards, facility policies, and accurate documentation within the nursing department.

You will work closely with nurses, physicians, and pharmacists to ensure safe medication practices, report errors, and participate in quality assurance activities to improve medication processes in the facility.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Follow facility policies governing medication administration.
• Note and report errors in medication administration.
• Assist in developing procedures to determine what medication errors occur and how to prevent them.
• Maintain forms, charts, and reports as required.
• Maintain a professional, cooperative relationship with nursing staff, physicians, the Medical Director, and pharmacists.
• Report complaints or grievances to the Director of Nursing Services.
• Participate in surveys and QA programs to improve the medication process.
• Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications for residents as ordered.
• Verify resident identity before medication administration.
• Follow labeling and charting procedures for medications.
• Document discontinued medications and report medication receipt errors.
