Job summary

University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority is seeking a Medication Access Specialist to join our Pharmacy Services team in Middleton, WI. This 1.0 FTE hybrid role focuses on resolving insurance issues and delivering outstanding patient and provider service.

The position emphasizes collaboration with providers, pharmacists, and clinic staff, with a schedule that avoids weekends and holidays and offers work-life balance within UW Health.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a healthcare, business, finance, or insurance related field is required.
• 2 years of experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle that includes prior authorization is preferred.
• 2 years of experience in preadmission/precertification is preferred.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding is highly desired.
• Knowledge of Medicare and third-party payer regulations and guidelines is highly desired.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.
