Job summary

Qualifications

• Must work in a collaborative environment with shared leadership.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Pharmacy technician license issued by Iowa Board required.
• 2-3 years of pharmacy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of health benefit investigations and prior authorizations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
• Completion of Mandatory Reporter training within three months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care via preparation, vital signs, and documentation.
• Assist with procedures and maintain aseptic techniques.
• Review payer reports and determine actions for management.
• Prioritize daily tasks to meet patient and business needs.
• Triage patient needs and assign to appropriate staff.
• Communicate with external entities as needed.
• Investigate insurance benefits and review claim rejections.
• Help patients access financial aid for medications.
